The GAIA Soprano has revolutionized the soprano world. It has modern projection, but a full rich, fat, and robust sound never before heard from a soprano mouthpiece. Theo has profoundly combined vintage and modern mouthpiece design for a breakthrough in soprano mouthpieces.
The GAIA tends towards a traditional Jazz taste. The GAIA has a slight roll-over baffle, precision-sculpted inner sidewalls, and our True Large Chamber for a simply huge and alive vintage sound.
The GAIA hard rubber uses the highest quality, most resonant, hard rubber available.
The GAIA Soprano’s True Large Chamber has broken new ground. Large chambered soprano mouthpieces where common in the first half the last century. They combined a large chamber with a low baffle and floor configuration. These made good classical mouthpieces, but they never really worked for the Jazz or Rock world.
The GAIA Soprano mouthpiece opens up a whole new world for the soprano saxophone. The window/floor/baffle/chamber/side wall configuration is totally unique and is the birth of a whole new world for the soprano saxophone!!! The GAIA soprano mouthpiece truly gives a sense of personal freedom and expression not possible before in a soprano mouthpiece. And because they are manufactured with accuracy higher than any other mouthpiece, vintage or new, the GAIA is truly revolutionary in bringing the vintage sound up to date both in design and construction.

“And there it is! The soprano piece I´ve been longing for all these years! It sings in all registers, pp - ff, in tune, open yet focused, and fat sounding like a sax should be. I know this sounds pretty much like all the goals you set out to achieve, which means you succeeded. So, congratulations, great work, the GAIA soprano is stunning, and suits my needs perfectly!” -Jan Garbarek
"My Soprano GAIA, I love it so much... it makes me sound like I play in heaven!"-KOH Mr. Saxman
“Hi. I have just recently received a soprano Gaia from Theo and I am over the moon about it. To understand, I have been playing a Link soprano that was totally altered and customized for me by Theo over 10 years ago. I figured I already had the best Soprano mouthpiece on the planet. I was wrong. Now I have the 2 best Soprano mouthpieces on the planet. These are very open and play beautifully. I don't think I could give this mouthpiece a higher recommendation. It seals perfectly, and responds in kind. It is not a mouthpiece for the faint of heart though. It could change your whole concept of what a soprano can do.” -Perry Conticchio (Sax On The Web thread)
““Before you even get your chops on this mouthpiece you can see it's something special, with its gold insignia on the back, complete with the new Enlightened ligature. On it's first blow I was immediately struck with a very responsive and pleasant core sound, a sound full of depth and tonal scope. This was also very consistent through the range. It has to be said that there aren't too many very large chamber mouthpieces around, and of those that do exist, not many are this accurately made. There is also just the hint of a baffle in there and this helps to give the tone a slight lift and definition. Give this a go and the chances are you'll have found the answer!” -sax.co.uk
“I picked up a Gaia soprano and love it. Playing soprano is fun now!” -Matt Lilley
